Rightmove
Property details page
Overview
The property details redesign was always going to be a challenging project as we needed to meet the needs of the buyer, vendor, estate agent and of course Rightmove itself. I was the UX, visual designer and front end developer on the project.
The UX goal was creating the experience of a user visiting the property without actually being there. We achieved this using large property photos, zoomable detailed floorplans and providing local area information such as; local schools, transport links and street view.
Estate agents pay Rightmove a subscription to display their properties. In return they require that a large volume of leads (calls and emails from buyer) to come from the site. I made sure that the redesign not only maintained this level but also increased the number of leads.
To make sure we got this page right I ran many usability testing sessions and focus groups with buyers, vendors and estate agents.
